Jeremy Sutton
Born in London, UK, Jeremy studied life drawing, sculpture and etching at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford University, U.K., while earning a degree in Physics at the University. He studied lithography and life drawing at the Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten, The Hague, The Netherlands, before moving to the heart of Silicon Valley, California, in 1988. First introduced to digital paint in 1991, he live painted on the Wacom booth at SIGGRAPH 1991 Conference in Las Vegas, and has been exploring the digital art medium ever since. After a career selling superconducting magnets and cryogenic systems for physics research, Jeremy became a full time professional artist in 1994 and that year used a prototype Apple PowerBook to draw Sir Richard Branson’s digital portrait on board the Virgin Atlantic San Francisco Inaugural. He is the author of six books on digital painting, including the Painter Creativity: Digital Artist’s Handbook series, and of numerous DVDs. Jeremy, who has used Painter since version 1, is one of only fifty six Corel Painter Elite Masters in the world. He is founder and chief instructor of the online education resource PaintboxTV.com; and has been a platform speaker at many international technology and professional photography conferences. Jeremy is in demand as a live event digital performance painter at special events. He performed live digital painting for Cirque du Soleil in the TOTEM show Tapis Rouge tent in San Francisco; live painted on the iPad at the opening of the epic David Hockney “Bigger Exhibition” in the de Young Museum, 2012, and at the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s “America Now! Innovation in Art” event in Washington D.C., 2015; and live painted, using Procreate, the launching and christening of the luxury cruise liner ‘Seven Seas Splendor’ in Miami earlier this year.

Sumit Vishwakarma
Sumit Vishwakarma is the founder of Mobile Art Academy and curator of mDAC Summit. Professionally an engineer and an artist at heart, Sumit exclusively creates art on iPad and tablets using different apps, his fingers or a stylus. His goal is to educate kids, teens and adults about simple digital techniques that can be applied with traditional painting skills to create beautiful artwork on tablets. He researches with new apps, app mashing and develop creative 'app-flows'. His scope of mobile creativity covers a wide spectrum from digital art to animation, 3D modeling to media creation and movie making.
He has been featured speaker at Macworld, National Creativity Summit - Pittsburgh, TEDx, Mobile Creativity & Innovation Symposium - NZ and several mobile art events. His work has been featured in various art galleries including the first Mobile Art Festival in Los Angles, Apple flagship store in San Francisco, Autodesk Sketchbook news, Macworld Digital Art gallery and other art & tech blogs such as cult-of-Mac, TUAW, iCreate Magazine. |
Caroline Mustard
Caroline Mustard is the co-founder and education director of Mobile Art Academy. Born in England, she graduated Brighton University with a BA in Fine Arts (Painting). She is an accomplished artist with years of experience in art direction, scenic and faux painting. She recently returned to her roots as an artist and has embraced mobile art. With a passion for passing on what she has learned to others, Caroline leads the Mobile Art Academy’s education initiative with classes throughout the Silicon Valley to students of all ages. She has been featured in Fast Company, California State of Creativity Summit, and Apple Inc.
