Theme: As it has been a difficult year for many of us, we all have our own takeaway with our art so we are leaving the theme open and want you to express yourself and your feelings freely in your art. Our judges seek work that is technically excellent - mastery of composition, image quality, and interpretation of the theme
Our Judges
Roz Hall
Roz Hall (MA, FHEA) is an artist and educator based in the UK. He studied Fine Art at the Winchester School of Art and the University of Chichester, where his interests shifted from traditional to digital art. He started experimenting with digital painting on the iPhone 3G in 2009 and has celebrated his love of mobile digital art ever since.
In 2013 he partnered with Microsoft to promote their Surface Pro line-up, creating portraits using Microsoft's Fresh Paint App and demoing to the press at the launch of the Surface Pro 2 in New York. In 2015 he was picked by Apple to produce a series of portraits on iPad which were exhibited in Apple stores worldwide. He regularly teaches digital painting at galleries, schools and colleges, including with Tate Britain where he worked alongside their major David Hockney retrospective in 2017. His digital paintings have been exhibited across the globe in a number of exhibitions including The Lumen Prize, SXSW, The Mobile Digital Art Summit, and with Apple’s Start Something New campaign. He’s been published in MacUser, PAGE, Cult of Mac magazine, iCreate, CANVAS, /NEXT magazine, ETC Magazine, Madame Figaro, Artists & Illustrators, Financial Times and The Independent. Caroline Mustard
Caroline Mustard is the co-founder and education director of Mobile Art Academy. Born in England, she graduated Brighton University with a BA in Fine Arts (Painting). She is an accomplished artist with years of experience in art direction, scenic and faux painting. She recently returned to her roots as an artist and has embraced mobile art. With a passion for passing on what she has learned to others, Caroline leads the Mobile Art Academy’s education initiative with classes throughout the Silicon Valley to students of all ages. She has been featured in Fast Company, California State of Creativity Summit, and Apple Inc.

Giulia Baita
Giulia Baita lives on a beautiful island called “Sardegna” (Italy). She graduated in History of Contemporary Art, she loves painting and drawing. She is a mobile artist. You have participated in many international exhibitions such as “Light impressions” (two years in Miami), Mobile Award Mira ”(Porto) and mDAC 2017 (Palo Alto). In March 2017 you founded MAG MobileArtGroup Facebook, MAG Instagram and MAG Twitter. MAG wants to promote Mobile Art as a new form of Contemporary Art. In March 2018 Giulia Baita organized an exhibition in Cagliari with images of artists from all over the world. It was called "Mobile Art From All Over The World" and contained the work of 29 artists. She curated three other international exhibitions in 2019 and 2020: "iPhoneart, what a passion!", "The myth of beauty" and "All the colors of the world". Currently she collaborates with the association "Divulgarti" exhibiting in Genoa, Palazzo Ducal.

Barbara Braman
Barbara Braman is a digital artist who now works exclusively on her iPad using her own photographs and drawings to create images that use color and form to express what she sees daily. She lives on Cape Cod, a small seaside community in Massachusetts. Barbara’s work can be seen at Nirvana Coffee Shop in Barnstable village and has been included in other local, national, and international shows. She teaches classes and workshops in Mobile Digital Art at the Cape Cod Art Center and organizes a bi-monthly Cape Cod Digital Artists group.
